The Hellenic Center for Infectious Diseases Control (HCIDC) is responsible for the investigation of any migrant case of infectious disease. Whenever there is suspicion of a migrant case of infectious disease a team is sent to investigate the case on site. For example, when a case of an infectious disease was located in a group of illegal migrants in the hospital of Siros island, the team from the HCIDCfollowed the course of health of the migrants and collected virous samples for preventive reasons. In the Hellenic Center for Infectious Diseases Control an office of psychosocial support is also running. HCIDC also coordinates the program of HIV and migration in Greece.
