PSYCHOSOMATIC DISORDERS IN GREEK MUSLIM WOMEN
Triantafyllou, P. and Κ. Chronopoulou ΚLΙΜΑΚΑ - Day Center for Greek Muslims
The prevalence of psychosomatic disorders in migrant populations and in populations with different ethnological and religious characteristics in general, appears to be increased in comparison to the general population. In the Day Center for Greek Muslims a study is being implemented in a sample of women who present psychosomatic disorders. The study looks on a number of parameters: current psychological conditions, socioeconomic and family status, the use of addictive substances.
An analysis of a first sample demonstrates a direct and indirect correlation of the appearence of psychosomatic disorders in women of the community with the social exclusion of the community
