According to data published by the Greek Ministry of Public Order, in 2007 100 cases of trafficking have been recognized. Of those 35 were assisted.

According to NGO data (STOP NOW-Stop Trafficking of People) it is estimated that in 2002 more than 17.000 women and children victims of trafficking lived in Greece. The majority of the victims came from Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria and Albania.

It is estimated that between 1990-2000 more than 77.500 women and children have been victims of trafficking in Greece.
