Health

In the study by Parry et al (2007), Gypsies and Travellers reported poorer health status than both White British residents and other ethnic minorities. In comparison, Gypsies and Travellers were:

  • More likely to have a long-term illness, health problem or disability, which limits daily activities or work
  • More problems with mobility, self-care, usual activities, pain or discomfort
  • More anxiety and/or depression
